HTRSA SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is open to any current and former HTRSA/Hamilton Soccer Club players provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
Forms are due no later than JUNE 1!
E ligibility:
Eligibility for this scholarship is defined as: any current senior student at any area High School who has played youth soccer in the HTRSA/Hamilton Soccer Club (travel) program for at least four years and will attend college in the fall. The scholarship winners must stay in college for at least one full academic year or they will forfeit their right to the scholarship and it will be expected that the individual will return the funds to the soccer club if this requirement is not met.
Scholarship Criteria:
The scholarships will be awarded to current or former soccer players who are also outstanding citizens. Awards will be primarily based upon the following criteria: (1) citizenship/leadership and activities that demonstrate a true role model in the community, (2) soccer and a demonstrated love and passion for the game of soccer throughout the candidate’s participation career. Also included in the criteria will be an individual’s academic/scholastic and associated honors as well as any outside (non-school related) honors.
Number and Amount of Awards:
Each year, at a minimum an award will be made to a current senior student attending an area high school. The award amount will depend on the number of applicants and the funds available in the operating account. In future years, awards guidelines and criteria may change at the discretion of the Board of Directors of HTRSA.
